As a Navy Jet Engine Mechanic who owned a Snap On Box that is bigger than most people couches. If I was entering the field of mechanics today, I would invest in ICON. 90 - to equal quality at 1/4 the cost....to not start my carreer in debit to my eyeballs....would be a blessing.

Been a diesel mechanic for my career. I clearly remember when HF was garbage like lucky for 1 time use. About 5 years ago i got a Pittsburg 3/8 flex head ratchet abd loved it, still use it today. Their icon and even Pittsburg line is great. Tool trucks have no problem throwing it in your ass.

10 or 15 years ago I would have never bought any tools from harbor freight now I find myself there all the time for things for home jobs and work stuff definitely good tools now

I really like Harbor Freight it’s actually a pretty fantastic store for tools if you’re working on your own car/house/toys

But if snap on goes away who will hf copy 😅 😂 don’t get me wrong I have nothing against icon but let’s be honest snap on ain’t gonna go nowhere. Soon as snappy comes out with some stuff icon will be right behind them copying it.

Were a cheap tools company who's gonna start selling "premium tools" at our cheap tool store and compare them to the tool truck brands that have been around for a hundred years. Yeah! I agree that the trucks are getting even more expensive and I buy more and more online to avoid the tool truck markup. Been doin it for 5 years and I couldn't be happier. I still buy some things from them that catch my eye but not much.
