Police give update on Bournemouth beach stabbing as man arrested

Police investigating a stabbing on a beach in Bournemouth have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.

Emergency services were called to Durley Chine Beach on Friday night (May 24) following reports that two women had been stabbed.

One woman, 34-year-old Amie Gray, tragically died at the scene. A second woman, aged 38, remains in hospital with serious injuries.

In an update on Tuesday, Dorset Police said that a 20-year-old man from Croydon in south London had been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

The force worked with the Metropolitan Police to make the arrest.

Detective Superintendent Richard Dixey, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “The investigation has progressed at speed over recent days, which has now led to an arrest being made in London.

“Officers from Dorset Police intelligence and firearms teams worked together with colleagues from the Metropolitan Police to carry out the arrest.

“We are continuing to update the loved ones of the woman who tragically died, as well as the victim in hospital, with all the latest developments and our thoughts remain with them.

“I would like to thank everyone so far who has provided information and reiterate my appeal for any witnesses who have not already come forward to please contact Dorset Police."

The man who tried to murder 3 young girls and their carer in Dublin recently was described as an Irish citizen from Dublin, he turned out to be an Irish citizen alright but an Algerian asylum seeker who had lived in Ireland for 20 yrs but never held down a job and lived off the Irish taxpayer. The authorities kept it quiet for as long as they could but the case became too big to hide. Even then the authorities said it was a Brazilian lmmigrant working as an Uber delivery guy who disarmed him. They never mentioned the 2 Irish guys who actually disarmed him and they were warned to keep their mouths shut. No confirmation, as far as I know whether the young girl on life critical survide or not.
