considering what lockes career looks like (that we know of) I don't see him being killed by hyperius locke may have been written poorly but he isn't some pushover and hyperius is a known liar and coward and I can't see him winning against locke in the slightest

Would love to have a fleshed out Locke, 343 has so many characters that could be great if they realized that Halo is more than just a story about Chief. There is so much unrealized potential!

In the audiologs i do remember him surviving at least after infinity getting attacked and landing on the ring and was making sure lasky is safe...

Figured he was onboard the Infinity as well, fighting his own battles when everything went down. Would be cool to see him and Osiris again in some cut scenes in the next Halo, explaining everything.

I'd like to see Locke come back. It be really cool to see him and Chief actually work together.
I can imagine the scenario would be something like, if there is no other returning leadership, like Palmer, Laskey or Lord hood, Locke could fill the roll.
Locke could be at the UNSC main base and coordinating and commanding their UNSC forces, but as for with Chief, he'd basically be like, "Chief, Banished forces are at this base. I've sent the location to your map. Do what you will with that information."

His character was done terribly. He could have been extremely interesting as an oni agent turned Spartan. I would have loved if HALO 5 went a totally different direction and leaned into Locke's skills as a spy and played into ONI interference ops more. There was great potential for Locke to start out as a lapdog for ONI only to slowly realise their objectives were backwards and then walk a thin line between ONIs interests and humanity's. UNSC and ONI are very interesting from a narrative pov, but we only really have in game experience of their defacto heroics during an existential battle for humanities survival.

While it mostly likely is Locke’s helmet, it could always belong to a different Spartan.

Now I don’t believe that myself, I just like to throw alternative ideas into the mix. I definitely like the idea of a battered and scavenging Locke using Guerrilla Warfare tactics against the Banished more though

Now i want to see some a guerrilla Spartan lost there amror and is using marine and odst amror with some banished shielding to allow them to get back to unsc controlled territory

Call me what you want but I actually liked Locke and his team. Would be dope to see lockes team and blue team work together in a future game if they did survive.
