That audience member is so rude interrupting like that and King handled it with such grace

The funniest thing is that the author of 50 shades of grey said that the whole concept was basically a fanfiction to Twilight!

I’m 40 pages away from finishing my first book I’m 7 years. It’s Batman: Arkham Knight - The Riddlers Gambit so nothing crazy but it sure is a fun start for anyone who’s a fan of the games. I just can’t wait to read more books which is something I never thought I’d say.

Stephen King will be read in a 100 years the way we read Dickens for story, language, and insights into the spirit of the times.

The biggest challenge literature faces is the fact that brevity is becoming more essential. Shorts, tik toks, reels - these mediums are training people to have attention spans of immediate satisfaction and little patience for nuance. It’s a hard job to be a good writer but it’s becoming more challenging to become a popular and successful one, in my experience.

To this day The Stand is the best book I’ve ever read. It took me the majority of a summer and I never wanted it to end. I would highly recommend it to any and everyone. But I won’t lie and say I didn’t feel the same about the Twilight series as a teen 😏

The master speaks complete sense, he's not called King for no reason.

Exactly. I find that despite some of the books despite being popular, really lack characters that make me want to be in the book or just read with a notepad, so that I can study the characters. That's why animes and mangas do good. They have good character development. Even the base of the character is well made.

Have been reading your books since I was 12 years old. The first book I read was “‘Salem’s Lot”. Scared the crap out of me, but I was hooked. I’ve been an avid reader all my life. I remember being quite young and had to read a book for school (we’re talking elementary school, like I was maybe 6 or 7), then the teacher had a conference with us regarding our understanding of the book. I had read “Bambi” - yes it was a traumatizing book to read at that age, but she seemed to be amazed at the amount of detail I was recalling. Well damn, when they kill off the main character’s mother with a gun, it certainly can make an impression!
Anyway if you ever need a well spoken, reasonable intelligent medical person to give you advice for your stories, I’d love to assist you! Just retired from a 35 year career in nursing.

Reading is fundamental (fund-to-mental)

I actually agree with him.
Me personally, i actually enjoy reading sexual scenes because it usually feels rather earned. In a 3 part series of books called aurora rising, aurora burning, and auroras end, theres quite a few spicy parts that happen between characters. I find it entertaining. Especially when the characters actually break character and do something they normally wouldn't do. And i quite enjoy it, as I also understand the feeling of just wanting to cut loose and catch a break from being the person I show.
