Ever since the remote working & digital nomad trend started, Bali and specifically Canggu, the area of Bali I am staying in, has become the number 1 hub for people seeking to leave the cold and overpriced western cities for a better and more laid back life.

So I wanted to experience Bali for myself - I am spending a total of 30 days here, and with a few days left, I wanted to give my overall impressions of living here in Bali as a digital nomad and online entrepreneur.

I like your Dubai content but please Bali is a HOLIDAY destination so stop bashing it for not living up to your big entrepreneurial expectations. We go there to relax and have fun! 🎉🥳

I would like to go to Bali for snorkelling, paddleboarding, diving, and some other water stuff, but I want to find a retreat in a more serene area. I'm sure there is another part of Bali that is far away from all these tourists and crowds. I'm already from a crowded city (Dubai) so when I go for a vacation I pick the opposite (a very calm laid-back town) so that I experience something new. This is my logic and I feel that it gives me greater enjoyment when I travel.

Hey man, can you please make a vid on how to find monthly rental apartments in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

Sanur is less busy and has a beautiful walking path along the beach...much better vibe in my opinion. Food is also amazing in Sanur. Very different demographic however with mainly older crowds. Very chilled.

No offence but you clearly have no idea of the benefits of being based in Canggu😄

i came to bali for a holiday in 2016 and stayed in Ubud. One of my mates said if the crowds in Ubud get a bit much you should come to Cannguu, its more laid back and relaxed! That sure has changed! ha ha

I love visiting Bali when I was much younger. The traditions, culture, it’s magical. I keep visiting Bali in every few years (at one point almost every year) and slowly I see difference when more people come and digital nomad started - no offence but it feels like invasion and culture changing in Bali which is quite sad to see. It is also sad to see more foreigners purchase (or lease?) land or properties in Bali for hotels, villa, restaurants. Due to my work, I lived in Singapore for one year, Dubai over 5 years, London 6 months and now living in Zurich for almost 7 years. Visited many countries in the world but Bali is still one of the most repeated destination for me and close to heart (for holidays, and short teleworking since Covid time). I avoid Kuta and Canggu when I visit Bali. Personal preference is Uluwatu, Ubud and Karengasem. Bali is definitely not suitable if someone prefers metropolis or big cities. I also do not find Bali suitable for my lifestyle now to live long term, but I don’t mind to retire there (if Bali still accept foreigners😊)

It seems like there are a few things are still similar to Bali 30 years ago such as insane traffic. I stayed in kuta 30 years ago, it was not westernised at all. I think I'd feel really sad to go back. All the restaurants where open on the main street and all traditional food. The accommodation that most of the time the pool was empty. I betcthats not the case now.

Always travel with Activated Charcoal which can save your life if you suspect you ate wrong food.

I find that the local street food is so much better. They cook everything fresh every day. As for the resort restaurants they don’t use fresh food every day, it is refrigerated. I live there part time no l wouldn’t go to a high class restaurant, as that is were you are likely to get food poisoning.

I think comparing Bali to Dubai is like trying to compare Mallorca to London….

I think I’d hate Bali for all the annoying digital nomad types of people (not including you of course, but there are a lot of lame ppl doing this lifestyle)
