Yes, I got scammed. I accidentally brought some fake custom clones on eBay here's my experience. Whats your opinion on this? Have you ever been scammed? Let me know down in the comments!

I do not advocate checking out or buying from this seller or anyone selling fake clones. They are supporting something that takes money away from lego and blatant copies of lego's designs.

The clone troopers are horrible but the rifles that they made they're pretty good and I bought some of those

Oh nooo...it happened....So sorry for ya dude...Good that guy gave you your money back! It always is so annoying when such things happen and when the sellers even try to start a discussion I think it's just unnecessary from them! Keep it up man!

Protip: anything that says "custom" for lego on Ebay, amazon, Aliexpress and minor shopping sites means its fake. I spent £5 on a "custom *Lego* (keep Lego in mind) p1 wolf pack trooper" (that was the actual name) and had Lego in brand, yet the only thing that could have indicated it was fake was that the description read: "this is a customised product, please note before buying and no refunds.".

I only made one LEGO purchase on Ebay and I got scammed. They were supposed to be LEGO Death Troopers but when I got them, they did not match the pictures that were on the listing but I ended up getting my money back and I got to keep the fake minifigures!

It depends on the manufacturer of the fake stuff; I bought the bad batch and commander cody with Airborne Clones and they look great.

Really unfortunate SW. EBay is a gamble sometimes. I got really lucky when I got a perfect condition used arc 170 for £88 ish.

I bought $300 of fake Lego looking minifigs at a flea market. I kept them to remember it to also show others. Sorry for you situation but we need to share more how to spot fakes.

Well funfact- in Germany the Lego A/S started a large campaign against retailers and manufacturers of bricks to save their brand and their minifigs (in a pretty ridicoulous way!- but that story is too long to explain- at the current stage they blocked the retailer of Qman for whole Europe by dencouncing Qman at the customs and now all deliveries from China are stored in, untill this instance is cleared). At one point Lego forced a youtuber (Der Held der Steine- hero of stones/bricks- about 650k followers) judicially to remove or redo some of his videos (e.g. comparing the new Lego Ferrari with that one of Cada) where he called any brick "Legos" (in fact Legos buys/lets manufacture bricks in China, probably at the same manucaturer than XingBao, Cada and the others- in fact they all have the same issues with scratchy tiles, different colours and so on).
My suggestion- send your instance to the Lego A/S and demand that they do something against ebay and such shady auctions, because "Lego´s reputation is spattered" and than watch how the Lego A/S will send out their bloodhounds.
Lego´s arguments are, that only their bricks are the best quality and they want to save us "beloved" customers from buying less quality products (that was the main argument against Der Held der Steine when he called everything Legos). And at the moment they are doing this fair play-thing on their website (well, compare that with the customs thing above- very fair imo). Maybe your chances are good, that there is something going to happen.
And in this case Lego´s Lawyers would do a good job, instead of harassing integer businessmen or Lego´s competitors.

I have been scammed too, the seller said they were custom clones and I bought them, then I noticed they were just figures from aliexpress. They’re good after all, but I would have paid them much less😥
