In my experience:
Clients that always tell you how great and rich they are.
Clients with a short deadline.
Clients that can't really focus on the project and tend to drift away from that topic in conversations.
Clients which tend to send you clip arts or comic sans scans and are very vague on their email with information (like "Make a sticker or something like that out of it")

My experience: Having family members as "clients" is the worst.

Thanks for the video, I have come across many of those, however, 2020 has taught me to walk away from, peace of mind is priceless.

Clients that ask for change that you KNOW will make the logo worse AFTER you've shown them the final product and have closed the project already.

I had a potential client, that didn't care much about company name. I said that it's useless try to create a logo without company name and it's a waste of our time and her's money. She said that with nice logo any name would look good, and she said:" it's my problem how much money to spend on a logo, You just sit and paint around different ideas till I'm happy". I politely said that in this circumstances I can't help :)

Could you make a video on contracts? what should be included etc or even a template of some sort to help make one etc.

No matter how many such video does an individual watches, it will always learn by increasing its experience further in the industry or by making the mistakes and learning from them.

Bad clients are the ones who are disliking this video. 👀

Freeloaders and those who don't have the idea are the most common

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Would love to see part 2, 3, 4, 5 etc

Yes ✅ completely agree I had these type of client's. They never listen to my ideas

I find that doing free works generally makes the client more inclined to feel they have to give you something in return, maybe they like the gesture so much they give you more then you would usually get, but it can be risky and time comsuming

Spot on Tom. No contract: No dice, freebies: No dice. Never do anything on spec as you'll get your arse spanked with no recourse. Better to walk away than get bitter about it.

100% of the clients I got had an idea in mind and were not open to my designs. And their ideas were either awful or required the use of copyrighted art. I retired, fortunately.

So good to see you tackling Cinema 4D! Best software package on the planet :) Also does a great job of importing AI files (if saved in legacy Illustrator 8 format).
All the best with the course.

A red flag also when you meet an arrogant client who thinks he is a great graphic designer but don't have the time to learn the software for that :/

i gave up four years after graduating art school dealing with people like this

Useful stuff. A client who doesn't take his own project seriously, will never take designer's work either.. I remember a case with a client who was surprised when I told him he had to pay upfront a small part of the price saying nobody would pay without seeing the design first.. hmm bye.. I didn't even tried to explain..
