Binge eating disorder (BED) is an often misunderstood and under-diagnosed eating disorder. At Center for Discovery, we understand the unique needs of individuals struggling with BED. In this video, Donna tells her story of healing and recovery through our Path to Peace for BED treatment program.

About Center for Discovery's Path to Peace for BED Program
We utilize a Health-at-Every-Size model to support clients in building a Path to Peace with food and body. Individuals in our program learn self acceptance and are freed from the pain and compulsion associated with binge eating disorder.

While addressing these issues, we teach patients to find their voice so they can advocate for themselves to receive the fair and respectful healthcare they deserve, including take a stand against size-ism and weight stigmas that are inherent in our society.

Our Path to Peace Program is built on the premise of intuitive eating. By engaging in intuitive eating, individuals learn to trust the cues their body gives them. That may be paying attention to signs of hunger or feelings of fullness.

While enveloping them in a supportive community of individuals who share their diagnosis, we use specific therapies that help address the core of their BED, including:

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT for BED)
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
