I was in a small group talking with Dan Marino once in the mid 1990s. He said that Bernie Kosar was the most accurate long passer he had ever seen.

I always loved Bernie. What a class act. At the end of one season he bought his lineman each a case of Dom Perignon. After the Byner fumble against Denver Kosar walked over to Byner (who was sitting alone) and put his arm around Byner. As if to say, this is not all on you. The guy played on a broken ankle. Tough. He had a sense of humor. He joked that his 40 yard dash could be recorded on a sun dial. This guy had almost no agility but found clever ways to win and always had amazing accuracy.

First time watching Kosar. Never saw even a top quarterback throw so many accurate long passes which seem to float with a soft toss while Kosar had no chance to get set. Quite a talent!
