Oh just to be clear - this is just an experiment. I will only be using my own art in my games!

When you were generating the sprites using SD, did you use your prompt sprites with a black background and then manually remove the background from the generated images?

I personally like your original style better. You can split or lessen the intensity of how much the AI tool iterates the images you give it. This way, you don't lose too much of the ascetic and art direction you were originally going for.
