28th Aug 2015 approx 19:30 BST, Bus crashes into Corsa which is forced into oncoming Focus

Fri 28th Aug 2015 evening approx 19:30 BST

Bromley road (A21) near junction of Daneswood Avenue (on the right) :

My dashcam captured footage of a road traffic incident whereby a Stagecoach 136 bus LX55 BEO crashed in to rear of the Vauxhall Corsa, forcing it into oncoming traffic where it strikes the rear quarter of the Ford Focus.

As a witness I made my details available to the Police, to pass on to the parties involved, the two lady drivers as you can see removed themselves from their damaged vehicles.

The bus will have several cameras on it, it would be interesting to see what they caught. It is also interesting to note that the corsa did not use its indicators, and stopped dead in its lane, not a wise move if you have a large heavy vehicle following you.
Especially a bus, as a bus driver may decide it is safer to hit you up the arse, and not send all his passengers flying about, then to do an emergency stop, and have several injured passengers, , ,

From looking at this a few times, the corsa was in front of the single decker bus in the nearside lane, then pulled out into the offside line and stopped dead. The double-deck driver didn't react particularly quickly but would have seen the Corsa late in her manoeuvre as he was slightly behind the single deck on a slight left-hand curve. I'd say 100% fault to the Corsa driver for the dangerous manoeuvre into the path of a larger vehicle. Possible contributory negligence for the bus driver if onboard CCTV shows he or she wasn't paying attention. Say, 20/80 split in liability.

The Indian ladies insurance had to take 7cams from the bus showing her at fault, late breaking and no indication rules the bus driver not at fault, funny seeing this video on YouTube creating bad press for Stagecoach

The Corsa had it's arse sticking out when it was waiting to turn right, there was a full lane for the Corsa to turn right, the double decker bus couldn't stop in time because of the Corsa not in the lane properly to turn right.

It looks like the two busses were having either an argument or a race, the double decker kept trying to overtake then had to keep slamming his/her brakes on, I bet they did not see the corsa until the last minute.

If I was the driver of the bus I'd laugh because I hit a little tiny Corsa and drive on.
