Old School Metal VS Nu Metal (Guitar Riffs Battle)

I had to cut the last song ''My Own Summer (Shove It)'' from Deftones due to copyright.
I hope you enjoy it!

Now it has became clear: Old School Metal: heavy music with distorted electric guitars.
Nu Metal: heavy music with distorted electric guitars plus a baseball cap backward.

Old school metal is the soundtrack of my youth. But I’m actually pretty happy the way metal is still going. I can turn on Helmet or Disturbed as easy as Metallica or Megadeth. I think the fans can be a bit too protective or insular over labels.

I grew up with Nu Metal and I love how it was still so heavy. Not sure what's up with new music nowadays but 2000's was cool with me. They never disrespected the old school way. 🤘🏼

I love how you portray both sides respecting each other unlike many similar vids. Metal is great and you showed that here with subgenre respect. Mad playing btw. I couldn't play half of these.

I can't go past how you basically played half the Brutal Legend soundtrack. Awesome

As much as nu metal gets a bad rep, their riffs are pretty cool and heavy

Thrash and Nu Metal are my two favorite Metal genres. With that being said, I think Thrash has the better riffs by far.

Korn and Linkin Park made me the metal fan I am but now I listen to pretty much nothing but old school metal. Still have love and respect for nu metal.

A Nu metal without Disturbed -- its like an Oldschool without Megadeath. Now we want a Disturbed vs. Megadeath battle xD

One thing that Nu Metal truly brought to the forefront is the importance of drums and the drummer. Thrash and hardcore had AMAZING drummers but where often overshadowed by blazing fast guitar riffs and powerful chords.
Nu Metal having more open space for drummers showcased amazing musicians such as Joey Jordison, John Dolmayan, John Otto, David Silveria, and Michael Wengren

I'm a fan of both old school and nu metal so it's tough. But I know one thing for sure, you're an awesome guitar player. Your arsenal of songs are stacked!!!!.
