I know there are a lot of engine types and brands missing, but I don't have video's of every engine revving.

Just something special about a flat six and secondly an Inline 6. Flat 6’s sound the most unique and are the most reasonable considering when getting into the V10’s and above with the retired F1 motors.

There's more to it than cylinder arrangement and count. Even or uneven firing pulses make a difference. Turbo or not, diesel or gas. More revs or less. Porsche flat sixes sound weird, but that's not why you buy a 911. Crossplane V8's sound good at low revs, flat plane V8's sound better at high revs. My 5 cylinder turbo-diesel makes a way better noise than it should. The old NHC250 Cummins in the old five ton truck sounded way better than its pathetic power output. Honda RC166 was probably the best sounding straight six in history despite making 65 horsepower. Turning 19 or 20 thousand rpm probably had something to do with that. I won't even get started on the Roll-Royce Merlin or Pratt and Whitney R2800.
