“How much more it will cost Boeing?“

Well, since Boeing management likes to emphasize profits over skill, engineering and quality control they should be able to afford the pay rises. You reap what you sow.

I applaud the solidarity of the IAM. In regards to Boeing's overall financial dilemma, it would be a huge step forward if the FAA, FBI and DOJ were successful in bringing felony charges, along with stiff prison sentences, against the Boeing executives, who lied to the FAA in an attempt to cover up the inherent design flaws in the B-737 800 Max, which resulted in the deaths of 348 passengers.

Management should reveal, cut their renumeration by 80% and still will be paid 10 times more than the average worker

If they really cared, all executive level and above managers including CEO should surrender their pays until the company becomes profitable. In exchange, the union suspends the contract negotiation.
We all know they are not going to do it because they don’t care.

The longer the discontent and disagreement, the higher the likelihood of sabotage in the manufacturing, assembly, and testing process even after negotiations are over. Boeing's days are basically over. Another casualty of unbridled capitalism and insatiable greed for profits over employees' right for meaningful pay and the risks to airline customers and air passengers.

Hey man no problem. Your planes fall out of the sky, doors fall off. Seems you are not doing a good job anyway. If I was an airline, I would stop any orders. By next year lots of you will be looking for new jobs. But power to you man. Just remember this day when they let you go.

I support these workers. Too many whistleblowers are telling us all how horrible Boeing builds their planes

perhaps because the contract has been nego-siated as opposed to negotiated was the problem.

Boeing needs the staff. The collapse of Boeing started with trying to stiff the engineers. The short term result, as now, is more cash for profits and executive bonuses, but the long term result is loss of experienced staff, quality, and customers. If Boeing had been decent to their workers, and taken smaller bonuses and stock buy backs they could have avoided at least $50 billion cost of failing to execute in engineering.

We all knew this was coming. I'm sure Boeing's prepared for it on some level.

New CEO need to start using automation, and not rely too much on the number of workers.. Automation run 247 and no human error and can check for defects
