Boeing faces potential strike as workers vote on new contract

Boeing workers are voting on a new labor contract seeking a 25% wage increase. If the negotiations do not result in an agreement, Boeing's production on the West Coast could be halted.

Wow. In 2014, the Boeing union lost their pensions and only got a total of 1% pay raise over 8 years.
I understand why the union wants 40% total pay raise over 3 years. Because they deserve better especially when their management uses coercion and bullying to improve production.

The drop in Boeing's quality is almost certainly partly related to the DECADES of underwhelming pay settlements as well as mainly corporate decisions in shaving inventory costs and parts quality.

Not the smartest move for the union to go on strike. Boeing has got to be struggling with all the failures it's been going through. This could well be the nail in the coffin that shuts down the company. Yah, you wanted a raise but you might just be putting yourself out of a job. Pretty sure that even though you haven't seen a pay raise in years, you're already paid pretty darn good compared to everyone else. Not sure your next job will match your current salary. Good luck!
