This is one of the best female duo in history for me. They where equally powerful. Because mahidevran had a lot of powerful backup. Like mustafa, valide, ibragim, shah sulta, and hatiche. But hurrem had the most powerful backup sultan Suleiman. Hurrem slowly killed or made them leave. And thats how mahidevran loset to hurrem.
The other female enemies where easy wars because one always had less power than the other.

While Hürrem and Mahidevran was iconic, I'll go with Kösem and Mahfiruze.

Hürrem, at first, simply wanted to take revenge on Mahidevran because she humiliated her. I remember, when watching, her saying "I want to steal her man". However, she fell in love with Suleyman who was already struggling in his relationship with Mahidevran.

Nurbanu and Huricihan was boring and felt forced. As if they tried to make Nurbanu go through everything Hürrem did while she was interesting in her own right. Also, Huricihan has the charisma of an oyster, which doesn't help (that point is purely subjective and I actually like her as a character).

Ayse and Farya was nice but felt like all the other rivalries.

Kösem and Mahfiruze's rivalry is slightly different and makes it refreshing :

Kösem doesn't have to fight for Ahmed's love because he loved her from the start and kept loving her until the end of his life. There were ups and downs, she was also quite jealous and he had flings, however she remained the one he loved and not the one he only lusted after. Mahfiruze had to fight for it and while Ahmed liked her, saved her and mourned her, she could never compete with Kösem and she realized it. Her only saving grace was Osman as she had the chance of getting pregnant quickly. Once she understood she could not be Ahmed's great love, she tried to gain power to protect her son and to secure his future and his interests, just like any other woman in the harem would have done, just like Hürrem did when she hadn't married Suleyman yet.

Also, the fact that the rivalry ended in tragedy when some peace could have been installed adds to it : Kösem actually went back to find Mahfiruze and Osman while it could have been easier to let them die. Ahmed wouldn't have blamed her and he would have believed her if she told him she was too late. Kösem went, found them and then protected Osman. She seemed genuinely saddened by Mahfiruze's death (which happened too early for me but it gave the Osman and Kösem storyline which I loved).

So yeah, Kösem and Mahfiruze for me.

Fave female rivalry is Hurrem & Mahi. My favorite all time rivalry is Hurrem & Ibrahim.

I think all the concubines rivalry are boring. But some were really promising and could be interesting or more interesting. The problem is most of the time they give one character everything while the order has no personality or strength on her own, which makes it very boring for me.
I didn't like the clash between Hurrem and Mahidevran. They gave Mahidevran everything to succeed and no real strength on her own. While Hurrem completely secured the support of the Sultan (Who in turn was a complete turn off as a character after some episodes). I always asked why continue on a road in which we already seen the winner, while there are a lot more risks that could make more captivating plot. If I am not mistaken, in the second season, they showed us a secure, calm and confident Mahidevran who came to the capital after being absent for years. At some point Hurrem was even intimidated by her. But, out of nowhere she became the same butchered character from the first season. It would be so interesting to see how the clash between "this" Mahidevran and Hurrem would go. Unfortunately, they made Hurrem's whole character and existence around being a concubine and a desperate pick me than a valid candidate to the post of Valide. While, they showed a Mahidevran completely absent, a dependent person and with no wisdom and insight until maybe the third season. Showing Mahidevran's other children and even the clash that actually existed between Mirhimah and Raziye Sultan in real life would be also good. It would be more interesting to see their fight for the role of Valide than what it was in the series.

Then Huricihan and Nurbanu. I clearly have no word. It would me more captivating to show how the relation between Nurbanu and Hurrem deteriorated and even leading to Nurbanu po*son*ng Hurrem (For more drama).

We also have Mahfiruze and Kosem. They gave everything to Kosem so early. At some point I even said to just make her Valide right away. While Mahfiruze got nothing. It was not realistic at all. Instead of Kosem's fairytale that cost more than 20 episodes, why not invest in Safiye's era, and show the rivalry between Handan and Halime ???? . Thanks for the clash between Safiye, Halime and Kosem it saved the first season.

The rivalry I liked in MCK was Gulbahar and Kosem. We saw two intelligent women. One cruel (Gulbahar) and the other is fearless (Kosem). It would be more captivating if after Mahfiruze's death, they showed us how Gulbahar actually created her clan of loyal servant. And maybe the trouble that caused her to be exiled, and even how she was able to sustain those people while in exile. When Gulbahar lost everything, it was more acceptable because as a character, even she, already knew that it was either a win or a lost.

I'm writing a conclusion ...
Most of the comments supported Hurrem and Mahidevran rivalry and some others comments cheered the other female rivalries.
In my point of view Hureem and mahidevran has the biggest female rivalry because both the ladies had to fight for their each right nothing was previliaged . From earning the favor of sultan to the protection of their children both fought for it . They had to compete for power for their love for their children, nothing was certain . One has to overcome the other in order to remain powerful in the harem . We can see that in the series too.



Let's talk about other rivalries, Hurichihan and Nurbanu fight was always pointless . The consiquence was also one sided . We could see that Nurbanu was favored throughout the series, First hurrem supported her then selim afterward fatima sultan and then her children also worked as a shield for her .

Fariya and ayesha fight was appealing to me but their character was not strong enough to support the rivalry . I admit that farya was a strong character but in my sense ayesha was not strong enough to compete with her and then everything going in the harem and threat to their and their children lives shaked both of them.



Mahfiruze and kosem rivalry, I don't know why people called it a rivalry because from the start everything was clear crystal that which person carried the might and was favored by the harem and the dynasty kosem was a powerful rival for mahfiruze . Yes, only osman could safe the Grace of Mahfiruze so she protected him very well because osman was titled as First son of Ahmed . Certainly that's the only power she hold . On the other side Kosem had everything . From the start she had the love of sultan (Ahmed) the favor of Valide sultan and safiye sultan . Obviously both of them afterward become enemy of kosem, but no lie she gain alot of power till then . So it was also not a mighty rivalry .


But when it comes to hurrem and Mahidevran, to me this was the real not the greatest but the real female. rivalry . Both had to fught for everything . There was nothing seems to unbalance in their rivalry to me . If hurrem was supported by sultan. Then mahidevran was supported by dynasty . Both of them had someone to back them . In the first part of the series Ibrahim pasha backed mahidevran and her child . But in the second part, we could see rustem pasha obeying hurrem and protecting her children . Both were beautiful and intelligent . Both fight for their rights equally and did everything both could do to protect their children . Some people say that mahidevran was a weak lady . but in my opinion she was a worthy opponent But in the end, there is certainly only one winner. Who was obviously Hurrem sultan 👑✨
