Whipped Brie Garlic Bread

INGREDIENTS

½ cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 green onions, finely chopped
2 teaspoons Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt, divided, plus more for garnish
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 loaf French bread, sliced lengthwise
8 ounces brie cheese, rind removed and cut into pieces
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 tablespoon olive oil
Hot honey, for garnish
Fresh thyme, for garnish

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375°F. Line rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside
Combine butter, garlic, green onions, 1 teaspoon of kosher salt and black pepper, and mix until smooth.
Spread butter mixture evenly over cut sides of bread and place cut-side-up onto prepared baking sheet. Bake until golden-brown and edges are crisp, about 8-10 minutes. Let cool slightly.
Meanwhile, combine brie, heavy cream and remaining kosher salt in food processor or blender.
Puree until smooth, scraping down sides as needed. While mixing, slowly drizzle in olive oil until fully incorporated.
Spread generous layer of whipped brie over garlic bread. Drizzle with hot honey, and garnish with thyme and additional kosher salt. Cut into pieces and serve.
