Works with all sliced cheese. I sometimes make a crispy tortilla out of shredded cheddar in the size and shape of a tortilla. While still hot, it is pliable and can be draped over a form to make a taco shell or bowl.

My mom does this with cheddar and parmesan. Adds some Italian herb seasoning.

That works very well with the rind of any hard cheese too, like Parmigiano-Reggiano! Just take it out of the microwave when the crackling stops, like popcorn.

I thought to myself the brie will just melt. But hoping I was wrong I had to try this in the pursuit of a delicious snack. And I was right, the brie just melts. My skepticism made me try only a small piece so not much wasted.
