I pick open a Kensington laptop lock (tubular lock). This lock is special as the usual 7 pins are reduces to just 5 by having one empty spot and a dummy pin - really weird. The picking setup is with the lock locked up in a little computer clamped in a vice - enjoy :-)

Nice. I lost key and went to several service point but everybody suggest for cutting. Watching this video I tried by myself and successfully done within about an hour.

I did the same to a similar kensingon lock except i used an impression tool but i cant get the lock to turn back close again. I first tried with my impression tool again but after that didnt work I did the same as you and filed the metall thing on the key away. For some reason it still doesnt works :(( any tips?
