Retired at 58, pushing 62, no more rat race, stuck in traffic, getting up early and go to bed late ( or passed out) at 3 a.m…. No more. I enjoy living a country life on 2.5 ac land, 6 bed room home with 10 rescued dogs and rescuing more.. I would get up at 3 a.m. for a sick dog and not complaint. Dogs enriches life and makes the world better. 😊

Just turned 57. Two in college, two in HS, and a 7th grader. Thankfully I enjoy my job! Probably stay until 62. Healthy and active, this is the best time in my life!

If you’re single you can live on next to nothing. If you’re married, own a printing machine

Josh, I’ve been watching your channel for over two years now. I’m almost 48 and I’ve been planning to retire at 55 for a while. Thank you for teaching me how to calculate my social security.

I turn 52 this year with the Mrs. exactly 3 years younger. Based upon our desires for the future and our financial position I have high confidence that retiring comfortably at 55 is doable. Probably could do it now but the comfort factor would not be there good enough for me. We do however intend to cut hours and head into semi-retirement within the next 1-2 years. I might even continue to work at least part-time for many more years since my job is not that crappy and since I can work from home or on the road easy enough.

We live on 33% of our take home pay. Travel, go out to festivals, wineries, breweries, etc. So we don't need tons of money in retirement. But we have tons of money, so we go and enjoy whatever we want. Looking at replacing a 17 year old car before pulling the plug on work. No problem. Write a check and buy the car. Life is good.

I enjoyed working until 67, then retired without looking back.

I’m 44, net worth $6M. I’m thinking of leaving the UK and moving to Thailand. If I withdraw 3% from my portfolio I should be able to take out $180, 000 before tax

Was planning to reite at 55 but forced at 53. Even with 1.3 million I was still sweating bullets even though I am frugal. Four years latter and I'm spending much less than I planned.

I will work part time forever because I want to. I don't have a pension otherwise I would retire at 55

Thank you for the video, one thing I'd like to mention is how the words economy and ecology have the same Latin root word, eco, basically translating to home. To me, this shows that to have a healthy home, we need solutions that are both economically AND environmentally intelligent. With this in mind, the Federal tax credit for Solar PV and solar hot water panels is 30%.

retirement at 55 is for me. I'm being forced to do DEI training. I got 9 years and 4 months of my crappy job left.

Josh, thanks for another great video. We are trying to figure out our retirement date. I get military retirement ($80k) plus TSP and 401k accounts. I turn 55 next year and the plan is to call it quits Oct '24 when we have our daughter's college fully funded.

What's the best approach to capitalize on the current market conditions? I'm deliberately on whether to diversify my $150k stocks portfolio. What strategy should I employ

God, I'm only 34 and can't imagine still doing what I do for a living until I'm 55. I think, at best, I have a few years left in me. I hate it. Drank myself almost to death because of it and work from home/hospitalization was the only way I got sober. If I get called back into an office idk how I would deal. I need some way to make decent money and not absolutely hate my existence in the process.
