The last we heard from Yumi Lacsamana's solo career was when she debuted the go-getting Pinoy pop R&B sounds of "Dyosa." It's been quite a while since, but not because of inactivity. In fact, as the other half of ace songwriting duo Thyro & Yumi, the singer have since released a handful of singles under the duo's name, among them the PhilPop-winning song in "Triangulo," the retro R&B track "Tandang-Tanda," and the inclusion of their version of "Tag-Ulan" at the "Luck At First Sight" OST. So it's just right that Yumi tries the solo route once more with the release of the modern and intricate sounding, singer-songwriter pop track "Kayo." This upbeat song belie the yearning lyrics underneath, and it's obvious Yumi is bringing a wealth of experiences as a songwriter onto this dynamic track.
