My San Francisco Garter Snake (Thamnophis sirtalis tetrataenia) female just had babies!! She has not been brumating, and I thought she was to young to have babies!! I'm chocked AND happy!!!

I live in Mass and i always see the garter snakes in the grass with a black body and a yellow thin stripe. This lady you have is beautiful and those colors are beautiful!

I have a California red sided. They look similar but San Francisco garters are illegal to keep as pets here.

garters do so well in captivity its common to accidentally find out they not only bred but had thier babies....and if memory serves you dont have to worry about them eating thier young either.
