Welcome to Fat Cat Maths! This video covers the 3 rules of fractions. You will need to know how to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions for your Maths GCSE exam, whether you’re doing the foundation or the higher paper. This is important for all UK exam boards (OCR, AQA, EDEXCEL, WJEC).

Who am I?
My name is Genevieve, and I have been a private tutor in the UK for over 10 years. I love what I do, and I’ve decided to make a channel to help you get the grade you’re aiming for in Maths GCSE. Whether it is a 5 or a 9, this channel will help you get there.

Maths GCSE is NOT a reflection of how smart or intelligent you are. I’m a member of MENSA and a trainee doctor, but back at school I was consistently struggling with past papers because I was never able to recognise what part of maths they were actually asking me to recall. Turns out that to get a good grade in the exam, it’s just as important to familiarise yourself with all the patterns and key words that exam boards use as it is to understand the different topics.
