Hello. Former sergeant from a super max (male and female) prisons. Kites are off limits. Food is nothing like they described here. And it’s called a “prison purse”. An SO or snitch and you’re DOA. And you better talk to the leader of your people before you take matters into your hands.

I was a new correctional officer at age 21. After 5 days of training, I was put on a floor of 120 men by myself. I was clueless. Several inmates took me aside and made suggestions how to run a good floor. This wasn't manipulation. It was intelligent negotiations. We abided by established limits. They were right and steered me in the best direction.

If you're in an American prison the inmates don't have to bribe Prison employees or lawyers to get your information. All they have to do is contact one of their individuals on the outside and that individual can go online and pull up the records on your charge.
