Did you know that In Bolivia’s San Pedro Prison, inmates buy or rent their cells, live with their families, and there are restaurants, markets, and even a cocaine factory inside! It’s basically a self-run prison city. 🤯

It can't be all bad, he smiled through the whole video.

For those that believe he deserved the death penalty I think living like this is actually a worse punishment.

The audacity and irony of Chapo saying "I have suffered a lot" is wild.

Ask the families of the innocent people he slaughtered.

He’ll forever regret escaping from a prison he controlled.

''El Chapo is depressed, in pain and suffers a lot''. Great. Anything else?

If the guards really want to turn the screws they make the prisoners watch the new Snow White movie

Crime doesn’t pay. Unless you’re in the government

Having worked for a number of years in a correctional facility, I fully understand why this prison has the security that it does. It's necessary. Don't make the mistake of thinking that inmates are dumb. They're very cunning, and many are quite smart. For a vicious inmate, this prison is fully justified.

Notice how the only thing he regrets is escaping his previous prison

The biggest torture would be having absolutely no idea where you are in the world. You essentially exist in an invisible space where you interact with absolutely no one and no thing. I wonder how long before they start to hallucinate?

I’ve seen it from the air… a bunch of big triangular buildings set near a going-nowhere-fast little basic town…. warmed my heart every time I saw it.

The worst prison could do to him is still nowhere close to what he did to his captured enemies...

How many people did he cruelly killed. How many lives did he ruin. I would rather have death than lock up like that. But this man and others in there don't deserve our pity.
