Alien Isolation - My Turn Now - Kill an android using only the maintenance jack [Silver / 40G]

Mission 4: Seegson Communications
A perfect spot for this is at the very start of chapter 4 where you encounter the first Android in the game. As you go through the long hallway you will see a friendly Android (robot that looks like a human). Attack him a couple of times with the maintenance jack from behind. This will put the Android in combat mode and he will counter all frontal attacks. So now you need to run away and hide until the Android goes back to his post. Sneak up to him and land some strikes from behind. Keep repeating this until he is dead.

I just started watching the video and at 0:25-0:30, I was like “you’re not just gonna go up and attack him, would you?” when the player was running to the Working Joe. And then when the Joe said “can I help you?”, the player hitting it with the maintenance jack as a responsible made me burst into laughter. It may not be that funny to others, but it was to me when I had my train of thought as I watched.

I got this achievement really easily. During the reactor core mission. The reactor started to zap the androids and when one grabbed me I automaticly just clicked my mouse just once and then it died and I got the achievement. o.O

The one shot trophy is not impossible, before dying hit load save immediately. Otherwise your death will be saved automatically.

Cool, this is different from how I got the trophy. I just made quite a few med kits and kept hitting him and if I needed more health I would keep some distance and heal then go hit him again. :)

This is weird, but somehow I got this trophy by killing an Android with a bolt gun. I was on the mission where I needed to head to the reactor. I ran from an Android that spotted me to an elevator after I just picked up the bolt gun. the Android caught up to me while waiting on the elevator. I shot it in the head with the bolt gun. When the Android died I got this trophy. I think I discovered a glitch.

If you play as it meant to be ( HARD) you need to score 9 HITS to disintegrate the robot ... On top of that instead of running to the start you are making your way to the end of the corridor and up the stairs hiding within the locker. AI is is much more demanding and it will take at least 7 minutes to achieve ... ( TIP - S + RMB to hold your breath when ditto is searching for you in the locker)

The trophy "One Shot" seems almost imposible to achieve. I hope you find a way to do it. By the way, congratulations, you are great :)

Didn't work for me. On the second try, he followed me to the lift. So I ran and hid in the cold hallway. I went to try and sneak up on him and hes facing the opposite direction :( what do I do?

nice, I`ve killed this way about 5 synthetics (w/o using any other stuff like emp etc) on hard - just 2 hits, run away, repeat, never get the achievement... it has probably something to do with that Im jinxed

I went for this trophy this morning. I killed an android with nothing but the jack, but trophy didn't unlock :\ I'm guessing it was either because it was a Hazmat Work Joe (though I don't know why that would matter) or because one of the blows came from when it grabbed me and Ripley hit it automatically.

Wow I been playing Alien Isolation on PC and the graphics are so much better than what is seen in this clip... I really hope this is PS3 and not PS4...
