Mapping a network drive was my daily business in the IT-Support. But you can right-click on the network icon under "This PC" then you have the same entry for "map a network drive".

What if there is nothing in my network after I accept network discovery and file sharing?

If I am on computer-1, and I want to map to a drive on computer-2, what (if anything) must I do on computer-2 that will tell it to grant permission when the request comes in from computer-1?

My Windows 10 computer has red “x” mark after rebooting for network drives. If I disconnect the drive, I can re-map successfully. Any ideas? Thanks
