If you ever start offering courses, I would def attend. Looks like it would be a great combination of fun and useful information.
Thanks for the great content!

Absolutely love this! When I camp I like to do it in a military sense, kind of, at least military inspired, to be prepared for when it. Could be needed, even in civilian life. To be effective to stay alive in case something like this would happen even during a simple walk in the woods after work or worst case during a smaller crisis. I will be using this time limit as a self competition in the future!

Lil pointer on how to use the firesteel more efficiently,
instead of holding firesteel steady and striking with your knife, risking hitting the kindling with the strike, hold your knife at the bottom and pull with the firesteel on top.

You’re definitely a master at the game DayZ in real life.

Let's go meet the Pansy's
Seriously tho I have never worn gloves while collecting wood or breaking sticks. If you're doing stuff @ -40° sure you'll freeze but not for building fires in the bush. My instructor always said, "skin grows back . . . Gloves Don't"
Nice Bushcraft though 🤙🏻👍🏻

We had to use soaked twigs and trioxane tabs to get a tiny fire (had to eb low vis) going, which we built a lattice over in order to dry out socks. The latitude was such that we were safe with a wet base layer, but feet are number 1. If the feet go bad, your ineffective.

Another Huge Thing With The Fire Starter Stick Is The Fact That Most People Don't Know To Scrape Off The Outter Layer First Before It'll Work Properly. I Personally Found Out The Hard Way. I Kept Saying To Myself... Wtf Isn't This Thing Even Making Sparks? 🤔😂😂 Sometimes The Struggles Are Real

Hands and feet! Never know how much you take them for granted out in the field until one or both start acting up on you. So be safe at river crossings bc lugging your gear on a twisted/sprained ankle or a tweaked knee is not a fun time. As stated in the videos too, wear gloves whenever you’re doing work cuz unless you know how to shoot with your toes😂 you’ll be really sorry you hadn’t

Great video but hard to understand without night vision or thermals POV

I noticed the smoke going all over you. Let's say you're in a combat situation and a patrol is passing and it's been about half an hour since your last fire, would the patrol be able to smell the scent of smoke left over on you from the fire even if you're a good distance from the spot made you camp at?

Can you test various fires on thermals?

How did you keep fire ash out of your water while boiling it???

It seems that it was way much important in your training than in some other 'warmer' European countries.
Mountain troops might have done it as much, but not Marines for instance.

Yet, since we're finally out of Africa and Middle East, our troops should be ready to do a full winter war on the eastern flank of NATO.

It might be weird for a French jungle trooper that trained in Guyana (south America) to do a full winter in Estonia 😂
