When they were doing their 50th anniversary tour the wife asked me "What are you doing on Saturday?"
"Nothing" I replied.
"Yes you are" she said "You're going to see The Who"
I was blown away. We could only afford cheap seats so we were at the back really high up. When I took my seat I looked down and my heart started doing backflips.
We went to the front desk and asked if they had anything a little lower.
The girl on the desk smiled and said she could help.
We ended up in the VIP section right next to the stage.
Unbelievable. An incredible show. And when Roger was singing Bellboy, looking up and paying tribute to Keith on the large screen behind him, I was blown away. Tears flowed.
My wife rocks. Almost as much as The Who.

That old man playing lead guitar and singing back up vocals is one of the greatest song writers of the 20th century.

I did not expect Daltry to sound that good after all these years. I got chills when he belted out the beginning of the sing. Wow!

Katie the violinist is still traveling with The Who and just finished up the North American leg of their Who Hits Back tour. She’s a fantastic musician.

My dad at 75: wandering around the house in his pajamas.
Roger Daltrey at 75: singing Baba O'Riley!

This was an anthem for en entire generation. The band may go off to Rock n' Roll Heaven one day, but this song will live on through history.

Ringo Star's son, Zach Starkey, on drums. He's been with them for almost 20 years now. Keith and Ringo were best friends, so Zach grew up knowing Keith as Uncle Keith. Keith gave him his first drum set and was his favorite drummer...even over his pops.

Daltrey sounds great!!! Thanks to Pete Townshend for writing all the incredible music. Nothing... NOTHING today is as good as this. Even after 1000 listens.

My first date with my good lady was a blind date to see The Who in Southampton in ‘71. We’ve been happily riding The Magic Bus ever since. Baba O’Riley live.... Just....Wow!

I was fortunate enough to see these two Icons perform beautifully with the orchestra backing them up. The young lady played the violin to perfection!

That violinist plays her part with all the enthusiasm of the day as when the song was first recorded and debuted. Amazing to see Roger and Pete and The Who. Just amazing. It does not get better.

Baba O'Riley blasting on the 8 track while I'm tooling down a gravel road in my 69 Camaro 396 SS going home to the trailer I lived in during part of college. Windows down, beautiful day, not a care in the world. Somehow, listening to this song, I knew that this one particular moment on that one particular day would be a watershed moment in my life that would stay with me forever. And each and every time I even hear the name of this song, I am transported back through time to that one particular moment. Hearing the song brings tears to my eyes.

Pete and roger are still amazing after all these years, and the violinist smashed it.

Thanks boys for getting me through the teenage years. I'm now almost 60, but when I listen to this track, I'm a young man again. God Bless you Boys and many thanks for music and memories.
