During his time in Iraq, Patrick Tutwiler was shot in the neck. Despite his survival, he sustained a catastrophic brain injury. Nearly a year later, his hometown was struck by a tornado. He protected his wife and four children from the gusts by using his body as a shield. However, they were unable to pay for repairs because the house was damaged.
