How To Show Developer Tab in Word - Two Ways to Turn On Developer Tab in MS Office for PC

HOW TO SHOW DEVELOPER TAB IN WORD // Two quick and easy ways to turn on the Developer Tab in MS Word 365 so you can have access to form field controls, document protection, VBA Code, Macros, Templates and more. The Developer Tab is not automatically visible, so follow these steps to enable it. Then you can start creating fillable forms!

TIP: To ensure the Developer tab is visible in MS Word so you can insert form fields, follow these steps:
1) Right Click on the Ribbon area and select "Customize Ribbon"
2) The Customize Ribbon and Keyboard Shortcuts window opens
3) On the right hand side under "Customize the Ribbon - Main Tab" ensure the "Developer" checkbox is selected, then click OK.

I work in an enterprise environment and this didn't show, so I assume my upper admins have the Developer Tab blocked. Odd, I use the Dev tab all the time in Excel. :-/

Hello Sharon, doing homework assignments in Word for different classes, I thought I would make a few drop-down lists like Class Name | Teacher then My Name | Date. (I'd like a drop-down for the name because my siblings could also use the same form.) Is there a way that I can make the drop-downs and continue with my assignment without using Restrict Editing? Hi, I get this error message pop up when I try to show the developer tab "The server drafts location you entered for offline editing is not valid or you do not have permission to access that location. Specify a location on your local computer" Can you help? TIA
