I saw another YouTuber who didn’t understand what “sour milk” meant, so they left milk out on the counter until it spoiled and then used it. Unsurprisingly, they declared to recipe disgusting. The comments were filled with horrified people explaining what it really meant and how to do it. Hopefully, there aren’t other people out there doing the same thing with this recipe and then giving it a low rating. lol

Sour milk is just another term for buttermilk, it's not actually spoiled milk. It's interesting how different terms can change our perception of ingredients!

Maybe some sort of icing could improve the appearance and also add in any additional flavoring that could enhance them, especially if you added a bit more orange zest over the icing as decoration or something.

These look very much like the orange drops my mom used to make, but she added an icing (they're so much better with the icing). They were my favorite when i was a kid.

they look a lot like "tea cake" cookies, which usually have a cake-like texture and a very light taste. If you want a stronger taste, making a flavored glaze to dip them in (think orange juice and powdered sugar, or milk, powdered sugar, and zest) would punch up the taste and make them last longer before going dry.

To make it more "aesthetic" add an orange glaze or orange frosting on top.
