Zephyr Range Hood Vent Lights Not Working Fix. The lights were not turning on press, but the fans were turning on. One easy step and no tools are required. Perform a reset of the Zephyr Range Hood.

Great solution! It worked for a Zephyr Tempest I (Models AK7000AS, AK7036AS, AK7042AS) that has LED 35W equivalent bulbs. I was about to look at the light switch or call a repair service, but 30 minutes with the breaker OFF worked! Outstanding work!

Thank you for this video. It was a godsend😊. I watched several other “fixes” on line that required replacements of the switch. They were not the right solutions. Yours was the only video that match my Zephyr model, and my unit’s symptoms. Your reset fix worked like a charm. Just as you said, after flipping off the circuit breaker for 30 minutes, the switch returned to normal. Thank you for posting this video.

Thank you. Turning it off and turning it back on via the breaker is what worked to reset the blinking light after we replaced the charcoal filters. Yes, we tried to reset with the buttons per the instructions but that didn't work. I guess there's an old-fashioned computer in there. I only turned it off for 30 seconds in case that helps.

Ok, I did NOT expect this to work (fan works, lights wouldn’t come on). I flipped breaker off for count of ten then back on. And it worked! You just saved me $150 (or more)! Thanks!

My brother’s range hood fan wasn’t changing speeds, but turning the breaker off then on was enough to get it to change speeds again.

i reset the breaker (but only for 5 seconds, not 30 minutes) and it fixed the issue - my issue was not the light but that i could not change the fan speed - thanks!

Also, I would strongly recommend the Zephyr hood. We have a 30 inch long unit with two fans and an 6 inch exit vent that clears the kitchen stove/grill like a professional hood.

Same thing just happened to me I assume the fan overheated and that shuts down the fan. Which is stupid.

What about when the light from the bulb in the hood isn’t as bright as it should be ?
