Greetings and Salutations friends, and welcome back to The Siege of Vraks. This new animated Lore series we will be covering Warhammer 40K: the Siege of Vraks in a new format. More focus on campaign plans from the DeathKorps of Krieg and in-depth troop movements on the battlefield.

In this episode, Captain Tybroc leads his 9th Company in an assault on Fort A-453 on Vraks.

I love how "realistic" this is versus the crazy we hear so much from Black Library.

This sounds like each side had actual strategies and like it could really happen.

Great job animating and I loved how the flags represented the different squads of troops and how as they took more losses the flag would being to disintegrate slowly; it really gave you a feel for just how many losses they took and how quickly a squad could be obliterated.

The only thing I can find fault with, and this is a very minor thing, is the land mines.

Anti-tank land mines are typically pressure sensitive for heavy weights, think 400+ lbs, to ensure they detonate against the appropriate targets. Anti-personnel mines are typically very sensitive but their charges won't meaningfully damage a tank.

Best practice is to mix them to protect the anti-tank mines from infantry who may try to clear them by hand.

Captain Tyborc deserves The Star of Terra for his efforts on Vraks.

Deathkorps of Krieg would be perfect in The old 6mm epic scale. In that scale there is room for plenty of trenches and bunkersystems.
I wish GW had kept Epics and even that they used it as their main game.
28 mm minatures are exellent for games like space hulk and necromunda but rarley give you the feeling of "normal" combat.
Evry game in 40k is like you in real life would take this or that special forces team and Pit it against one or two other special forces team.

I love that this "top down documentary" thing is really catching on as a legit story telling device. Not only as history videos but just stories in general.

Sounds like Tyborc and his men were down to their Shovels and fists in the tunnel.

I'd like to imagine at least one Vraksian militia walked away with a shovel stuck in him. At the very least, there was probably a corpse with one firmly entrenched where the Emperor doesn't look/ Warp don't shine, so to speak.
