Did not know you were tugboat Captain. Me too. I use to work with Moran in Norfolk at the Navy base. I was Captain of the 2nd brand new Z-drive tug the Karen Moran. Worked there for 4 years then went next door to McCallister. Currently on the Pearl Coast moving the big cement barges in the northeast. Working 30 days on/off which is more conducive to our FTing. We have been at it for 1 year and love it!!! We have a 48ft toyhauler and have our 2 cats with us. They love the RV and the cool spots we boo dock in. Have a robust solar package which allows us the freedom and autonomy to spend more time out west on BLM land. Not much on the eastern seaboard.

Here’s a few things I found helpful for me myself and (I travel alone)I. Travel is cheaper than s/b ownership. House/property:
Property taxes; lawn mtnc; home mtnc; utilities; mortgage; insurance; cleaning; unruly neighbors.

Rv: join a timeshare (I save a TON) of money, my 10yr term average $7/day (resort average $50/day); includes MX and most provinces of CA. Just not HI and ND.

Walk around parking; I use led road flares. Follow the orange light road. Stop when no longer see the light; in the backup camera view.

Get your rig weighed at a GD rally from RVSEF. Each tire weighed; not axle. One side or the other side not equal weight.

Winter weather get a custom made skirting. From custom skirting in Rapid City SD.

Hey Chris just a pro tip for backing up your Rv. If possible always back to driver’s side instead of passenger side, by doing this you can see more and it’s easier to back in

Had a neighbor once at a RV park leave the awning out. The wind blew the awning back over the top of the camper and cover the AC and ultimately burned up the AC. It was in Port Aransas Texas in August. They’re vacation was over.

My wife and I occasionally get our lefts and rights confused, so I get out and go confirm in person with what she's telling me to do.
