Horizontal Hive Build Part 1 Long Langstroth

I built a few Horizontal Hives. It's simple and fast build. In tis video I build the bee hive body. Next video will show the top and the inner cover. Long langstroth is a simple bee hive to build and is easy to do hive inspections.

Wow couldn't ya fine some 1 X 12s that going to be heavy ~ i even glued 1 x 4s togather That works to. I like to make the holes next to the bottom where they can drag things out. Looks like you got the correct bee space : top to bottom and side of the frames! That very important ~ A Nice Strong Build

I enjoyed watching your build. The detail to the top is a very nice touch to ensure a good waterproof fit. Now that you have been using this top for almost a year, how is it holding up to the weather. Has it been a problem with swelling and shrinkage? I want to use the idea on the hive I am building so let me ask you strait out, would you do it again, did it work over the long run?
