Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of Croatia’s most popular tourist attractions. The National Park is the oldest and largest park in the Republic of Croatia. It is almost 300 square kilometers of forest reserve and is most well known for its chain of 16 lakes, joined by waterfalls, that extend into a limestone canyon.The park has its UNESCO World Heritage status and is located between capital city, Zagreb, and Zadar on the coast. This National Park is definitely worth the hype and a must see on any trip to Croatia!

I visited Plitvicka after a bus trip from Zagreb in I think 2017 and was blown away by how beautiful it was. Clear water and so many fish in it plus those incredible waterfalls. I actually walked in reverse to you both and from where that refreshment place was after you get off the boat I climbed and then down and it was probably the better way of both to do. I had a stunning day that will always stay with me.

You can see the entire park in one day, but you have to arrive around 8-9h, because it closes at 17h

Looks amazing. Does seem very crowded with tourists tho? Are there actually some places that make you feel like you are on somewhat of an adventure or is it mostly this crowded everywhere in the park?
