Day #3 learning Gouache ; 120 minutes in 30 seconds.

Day 3 learning gouach

This one a bit more challenging because I forced myself to paint more opaque/less water.

Things I learned

take my time: I rushed the background ended up with a darker blue than I may have wanted and not neat. But I think I’ll go in a change some things round as gouache is able to be reactivated.

Step back after sketching and painting to get fresh eyes on the placement, accuracy etc. i did the sketch and painting in one sitting , so I wasn’t able to see that I needed to correct the eye placements .

This is a FUN medium and I suggest it to everyone wanted to try something new.
