Top Places in Peloponnese Greece: Pylos (Messinia)

In this video, we're visiting the beautiful town of Pylos in Messinia, Peloponnese and the amazing Stenosia Waterfalls located only 20 minutes away from Pylos.

Pylos is built in the southwestern part of the Peloponnese and is known from the famous naval battle of Navarino that took place in 1827. Pylos is mentioned by Homer as the Kingdom of Nestor, which, according to tradition, was founded by the mythical Pylos.

Stenosia Waterfalls is the most recent discovery on the Messinian land and for decades was hidden in an inaccessible canyon. It is a verdant “fairyland” like place, where a river (without name) flows from a waterfall to a pond, crossing 3-4 kilometers to reach the well-known Kalamari waterfall.
