Comments are mostly talking about power levels, but I think what makes Metro and Homelander meeting most interesting is their personalities.

Metro Man is basically what if Homelander grew up in a caring and loving environment. Both are narcissistic and value fame, but the difference is that MM still has base empathy to genuinely try and help people and self-awareness to realize that in the end, the superhero business was slowly killing his soul.

MM would be someone that would initially love to be part of The Seven for a bit but quickly jump ship or even kill Homelander when he sees the shallowness and immorality of it all.
