Few watch microbrands have this kind of a unique design language that sets them apart. Let me introduce you to Serica, a french brand making swiss watches who has been around for a couple of years now. In todays video we take a closer look at the diving chronometer 5303 in crystal blue and the Red Desert Travel Chronometer 8315 in desert red. Oh, if you are looking for the newly released updated 6190 field watch, it might be in this video too, or not ... but at least you will get a feel for the brand.

Hope you like this video, if you do, don't forget to like & subscribe. Thanks for watching.

Love this watch, the style is next level! I don’t need another watch, but this is very very tempting 😅😅

I know this is juvenile but I cannot un see it. The indices at the 12 with 2 balls and a rectangle look like a twig and two berry’s 😂 once you see it you can’t unsee its other than that I really like the dive watch. Has some unimatic industrial design to it. Great review.

Great review. Just found Serica again and am really impressed with the vintage look and direction they are headed with higher grade movements. The diver is on my wish list.

The new field watch models are brilliant with the applied indices and I love the blue dial diver and how the lume has a 3D effect.

Simply beautiful, I like the GMT one more. Specially that lollipop GMT hand.

Great video again Tom. I wear a Serica 5303 diver crystal blue with metal strap since a couple of month's and won't change it for anything anymore. I really adore it.

The 5303 turned out to be one of my favorite purchases of the year (actually my last), and is currently my most worn watch. The two tone GMT bezel with dial 12 hours scale is a nice touch for the GMT.

I really like the integrated endlink on the mesh bracelet. Oh and I'd pick the white dial!

I really like the Serica 8303 & 8315. I always liked the 8303 when it was first released. It's the only watch in my collection that has stayed the longest since late 2021. I like it that much, despite the first versions with the Soprod Newton movement had a (post production) crown "feature".. eh, hem.. issue. I found a way to work with the quirky crown and it has never been a real issue with me. The movement is pretty darn accurate, too, even though it is not COSC, but the Top Flight version of the Soprod Newton movement is rated to +/-4 s/d, which is actually better than COSC.

It's good Serica finally decided to change the movement in the 5303 to an older, but less quirky, Soprod M100 COSC.

I also owned the 8315 GMT. I had it made in destro configuration. It looks cool and different enough to the 8303 to justify adding it to my collection. However, as a note, I don't believe one should do it in the destro config, imho.. not if you wear your watches on the traditional left hand. It's a big crown and the way the crown protrudes and sits off the side of the case, it actually will dig into my wrist.

And, if you think about it, destro config on any watch if you wear on left arm is not the smartest thing. Most people's arms will get wider and create an incline as you move away from the wrist. That's just how the muscle and flesh on the arm physically is shaped. So, it only makes sense a left sided crown will be likely to dig into your arm more.. unless it was specifically designed to be in that position and takes into account for this. I don't believe the Serica 8315 is. Thus, unless u wear watch on right wrist, don't do the destro config.

Wearing my 5303 while watching a video on the 5303. Peak Serica.

I want to love the GMT but I can’t understand why the hour markers weren’t connected to the minute track but are instead floating so close to the middle of the dial. The Rolex root beer nipple dial shows it can be done but the right way to do it.
