Pikamee was a hikkokomori because of the relentless bullying she faced in real life. Then became a vtuber as a way to express herself, find joy in her life and move past her crippling loneliness. A lot of people know Pikamee even if she was in a very small vtuber corpo. She always saw the good in things and always had a positive attitude. She was a small bridge taht connected overseas and Japanese viewers through her ability to seamlessly speak Japanese and English and used it as her sort of niche. Truly the biggest sweetheart you'd ever meet.

And then trans activists decided to bully her for mentioning that she was going to play the wizard game. The harassment was brutal and absolutely hurtful. The same vtuber who pushed herself away from civilization due to relentless bullying...was again being relenessly bullied literally off her platform that she has had and worked tirelessly to create for over three years.

Her graduation was planned, she was going to leave regardless, but, the bullying on social media escalated the departure time. We probably would have had another month or two with her had this not taken place. A lot of people are mad and I can't blame them, but I only hope that, through Vtubing, Pikamee is able to push herself to enjoy her life. To push past her Hikkokomori issues and see how amazing this world truly is. I'd love to see Pikamee in another life, but if that doesn't happen, I really truly wish the best for her.

A few dozen or even hudredds may have bullied pikamee, but she was known by millions of vtuber fans throughout the entire world. She will be surely missed.

According to GYARI, Pikamee's graduation was already pre-planned, so that puts me at ease a bit, knowing that she had already decided to retire and wasn't forced into it by the bullies. But it's still very likely that harassment effected her retirement plans and speed up the process which sucks. I really hope she pulls a Kson and returns under a new alias.

As an actual LGBT+ person, I absolutely HATE when vocal individuals use it as an opportunity to hate on innocent people. It’s because of them that the whole community looks bad, causing innocent LBGT+ people who didn’t actually do anything to be bullied as well. It’s a hateful cycle and we seriously need to break it.
