A modern quarter is worth 25 cents. A silver quarter is worth AT LEAST $4.50 in silver value but could be worth much more if it is a better date OR a variety/mint error. Be sure you are checking your change for silver coins!

Back in the day, circa 2000, I frequented a casino that had slots that used real halves. I'd go there and get halves every time. Usually Kennedys, sometimes Franklins. Only way to FOR SURE make money at a casino...!

I have a friend who is a bartender and is constantly checking incoming and out going coins. Having the idea in advance I asked if he's checking for silver and he says yes. So I ask him do you think people low on cash steal it from family coin collections and he agrees with me.

Finding a silver quarter in a roll from the bank is incredibly rare. I've found half dollars, nickels, and dimes over a 15 year period of searching; never a quarter.
