079 - Kinetic Energy

In this video Paul Andersen explains how the kinetic energy of an object if due to the motion of an object. Objects can have kinetic energy but they cannot have potential energy unless they are part of a system. He then explains how to calculate the transformational and rotational kinetic energy of an object.

does kinectic energy gets store in mass?? and if so, then reaching the speed of light, it's that the reason it slows down time< does it get too much stored that it interacts with movement inside atoms and slows down and stretches time?

so a curveball is typically slower because some of the energy is tied up in rotational kinetic energy?

What do you do with the rotational Joules, do you add it to the kinetic energy total Joules? Or is it two separate answers?

what happens when the velocity is constant versus produced via acceleration? is it the same KE for both cases? to me it looks like it should not, like the KE resulted from a mass produced via acceleration should be greater... if i am wrong, please, what is it? THANK YOU!
(constant meaning: certain speed at point-A and same speed at point B. via acceleration meaning: zero speed at point-A and certain speed at point B.)

I tried to do kinetic energy in lb and ft/s and came with something that was pounds times feet squared per seconds squared. How do you convert that to joules?

'kinetic' of course comes from the greek word 'kinisi / κίνηση' which means  'motion'
