Life saver, handed down to me by my old man. I have used these so many times. Glad to have them.

Irwin is the leader when it comes to Bolt extractors “Turbo Sockets” they make them for various tool companies as well. And at that price with the warranty is hard to beat. Good video Clay. Keep up the good work.

I’ve had a set of them for years like the late 90s and love them

That's strange that Irwin left half of the case empty. I bought the M/C Maximum variant of this tool kit and it came with the full kit, and they work absolutely amazing, and it was only 25CAD
Great tools. life savers. they bite hard!

Great video thanks brother. I have a set I think Craftsman. I have never had a problem with them yet. That is very tempting to get just for a backup set. Keep up the great work see you in the next video

Clay--Turbo Sockets were first made by a company called Hudson Bearings (hudsonbearings.com) some twenty-plus years ago.  I recently bought a 9-piece deep metric set by Hudson for home use, but I initially purchased a set of Sears Craftsman turbos back in late 1995.  Irwin offers them, as does SK Wayne.  To me, SK's offering looks very much like the Hudson Bearings version.  Hudson offers them in 1/4"-, 3/8"- and 1/2"-drive, as does everyone else.   I don't think many people have ever heard of Hudson Bearings, which is why I thought I'd give them credit for coming up with them.  Very effective sockets for problem fasteners.  Oh, and because the sockets narrow the deeper you go inside them, one set (metric or SAE) will likely cover your needs, as this is an extractor-style socket.  In other words, the more pressure applied, the harder they grip a fastener.  This is a "last-resort" type of socket and will chew up a nut or bolt, so be prepared to replace it/them.

I picked up a set of these several weeks ago when I started a Mustang restoration. They are life savers. At the local industrial hardware joint it was $20 for the single socket I needed or $32 for the set. No brainer, get the set. Even cheaper on Amazon and eBay if you can wait.

I have some a matco set and i could barely even get the thing on because of the tight space and so i had to have it tilted on the bolt to give it space to pull the bolt out. Glad when you need it and ya have it, when you dont... It sucks..

Your going to like them a lot I got the same set almost two years ago used them about a dozen times now and not one disappointment I got mine at O, Reilly, s for 39.99 but since they went down to 29.99 but them things have to be the best tool ever.

The only thing about them that's bad is there no detent in them to lock in place on a socket wrench, but they work well for way less then snap on. All my extractor and tap and dies are irwin

Blue Point has a fantastic set...use them more than I like to but they are well worth the money. I think Snap On just released their deep well version too.
