How to sign Think, I'm Thinking, Believe, Say & Promise in British Sign Language (BSL).
You might notice with 'believe' and 'promise', both signs end with the side of your dominant hand touching the palm of your non-dominant hand. On it's own, this means true or definite.
A belief is something you think is true and the sign is 'think' + 'true'. A promise is something you say which is intended to be true or definite and the sign is 'say' + 'true'.
Note, there is another common sign for 'promise' which is crossing your heart with your thumb.

You are a life saver providing this service as in my life would be very difficult and lonely if I didn't have you to teach me to sign. I've had hearing problems from being a child and now although I hear a little noise I cannot make out words but there has never been anyone to teach me to sign. Now I learn from you and teach my daughter and granddaughter so we can communicate better so thank you very much.

grouping signs together like this make it easy to understand how the idea works in visual form. they build together and you show the handshape very clearly. many thanks!
