If you do a part 2, I could very easily see Anakin convincing Dooku to turn on Palpatine with him. Since Dooku was never really devoted to the Sith. With no war to fight, I could definitly see him fall back into him focusing on helping people, and setting up the Sith army to help the people of the republic.

Honestly, given that Sidious followed the Rule of Two, this is something Plagueis likely would have done, not Sidious. Sidious followed the Rule of Two yet Plagueis viewed it as mere guideline and never planned to replace Palpatine. That would actually make a good what if:

What if Sidious never killed Plagueis?

A part two where Anikan slowly convinces Padme and Ahsoka to join him and his plan would be cool. (This is not a quick comment)
So although he's powerful enough to take over at anytime in part two he's waiting till he has the full support of his wife and (in his mind, still) padawan. And he does this by manipulating Dooku and Palpatine. They know how powerful Anikan is and how terrifying his speed in becoming so. They think the only reason he hasn't is because he hasn't realized it yet. But they live in fear of the moment he does.
Little do they know that moment had come and gone.
Anikan knows that Ahsoka has contacted Padme, trying to convince her to help turn him back to the good. Instead of stopping this, he encourages it. Even pretends to have doubt and regret, to the point Ahsoka is practically living with Padme and the twins and seems to be succeeding in bringing Anikan out of the dark. And they think they are clever using Anikan's children to do it.
Little do they realize it he who will use the children to manipulate his wife and padawan.
Anikan waits for a time when Ahsoka is with Padme and the twins, it's not a long wait as Ahsoka at this point practically lives with them anyway. At that moment he goes to Dooku and Sidious and tells them that he is worried that his wife won't let his children be trained in the force and he is conflicted because he loves his wife but knows that his children, trained will be even more powerful than Anikan, Sidious and Tyranus together.
Dooku and Palpatine smile. Poor love besotted Anikan has just presented then with the answer to their greatest fear. Take the children and train them to oppose their father!
They send Anikan on a mission to the outer rim. They intend on sending Inquisitors to kill Padme, steal the children and leave the body of a former jedi behind to make it look like jedi have Luke and Leia. It's a brilliant plan. Anikan will be free of Padme, spend decades hunting down any remaining jedi looking for his children till he learns the truth far too late.
That is it would have been a brilliant plan. But for two minor problems. One, Ahsoka was with Padme and the children.
You see Dooku and Sidious were nowhere near Padme's home on Naboo. They only sent Inquisitors to have complete deniability.
So imagine six Inquisitors dragging a dead jedi to Padme and Anikan's home, killing Padme's parents and siblings and family servants only find the children and their mother protected by an enraged Ahsoka. Ahsoka is by far the better dualist, but it's six to one. Even with padme using a blaster to defend her children it ends up with three Inquisitors dead, but Padme and Ahsoka wounded and about to die. The remaining Inquisitors are even happy with this turn of events. After all now the will have two jedi bodies to leave behind.
But just in the nick of time Anikan arrives, deep red light Saber in hand to slaughter without hesitation or mercy the three remaining Inquisitors.
Anikan pretends to be in shock at this betrayal and appears confused about what to do next.
That is when he is "convinced" by Ahsoka and Padme to take the children and flee to the rebel alliance! After all she is fulcrum and has been trying to do exactly that for months!
Anikan pretends to be worried he'll be killed on sight but Ahsoka promises it will be alright. And after a great deal of distrust and awkwardness, it is.
Anikan has succeeded brilliantly in part one of his four part plan.
Part two is manipulating Ahsoka to join the dark side. He starts by purifying his lightsaber crystal from deep red to a pale red, almost maybe close to white, if you squint alot. It brings great hope that Anikan is returning to the light. A hope Anikan will manipulate to his ends. (I'm not sure if Anikan would bother with Ezra and Kanan, but it would make for an interesting side story. Anikan would like them though, so maybe?) He also expresses deep regret and shame over his actions, but is soon forgiven as he was obviously manipulated by Palpatine and Dooku.
Now Anikan begins training with Ahsoka. He tells her that it will be up to the two them to destroy Tyranus and Sidious. He also trains Rex and the loyal clones he commands in how to kill sith while trying not to get killed in return. At this point Anikan seems to be his old self. Kind, generous, protective and leading the rebellion against the Empire. And Anikan is indeed happy. He has his wife who once more loves him completely. He has his padawan who is once again at his side training and going on missions. He has former jedi who are following him as the effective grand master of this group of well trained force users. He had Rex and hundreds of inhibitor chip free clones to lead once more. And he is with his children. Anikan even regrets having to give up this life. But when he feels Ahsoka is ready he implants part three of his plan.
Anikan brings the former jedi together and tells them he has discovered the existence of the death star. But only half built and vulnerable. So the plan is for Anikan to very publically lead a rebel attack on the other side of the galaxy while Ahsoka and the fiur most powerful force users they have go to sabotage the half completed super weapon. But Anikan knows one of the newly recruited former jedi is a spy for Sidious. A man who is trying to save his daughter.
So when sidious and dooku appear at the death star to kill the rebel Alliance's best remaining jedi they are shocked to find only Ahsoka and Anikan.
In the almost completed throne room Anikan takes on Sidious while Ahsoka takes on Dooku. Even though Anikan by now could easily kill both he pretends to struggle against sidious, who thinks he's winning because Anikan is once more weakened by the light. But Anikan is not weakened by the light side. He merely uses it, like he uses everything, to achieve his own ends.
Because this entire showdown has been orchestrated to bring Ahsoka to the Dark side! Not completely, just enough to free her from the jedi, once and for all.
Because, although Ahsoka has become incredibly powerful under Anikan's training, she is still holding back. And Dooku, old as he is, is still immensely skilled and powerful in the force.
So at a moment when Anikan is getting electrocuted by Sidious and Dooku has Ahsoka on her back foot, Anikan pleads with Ahsoka to use the dark side at least a little or all is lost!
And finally Ahsoka does.
She feels the anger and hatred she has for Sidious and Dooku. She allows the rage at all they've done to the Galaxy, the republic, the jedi, Luke and Leah, Padme, her and above all her master, her slowly being electrocuted master to fill her. And soon Ahsoka cuts Dooku down and rushes to finish off Sidious.
Too late the dark lord of the Sith recognizes, realizes that Anikan is not Anikan. He is Lord Vader. And he just used the same plan to turn Ahsoka that he'd used on Anikan all those years ago.
Sidious has to use a force push to shove Ahsoka against a wall stunning her. But he lets up on Anikan for just a moment. At that moment. Sidious finds himself lifted in the air trying breath. It looks like Anikan is struggling with all his might to do this, but Sidious knows the boy is only toying with him. But he can't even breath to cry out. And if he could, Ahsoka would never believe Darth Sidious. As he was dying a part of him was well pleased his apprentice had learned his lessons of power and manipulation so well.
As Ahsoka came to her senses she saw Sidious floating in the air, choking and Anikan sweating and shaking, looking like he was going to pass out.
He cries out, "please Ahsoka, help me save the galaxy!" And at that moment Ahsoka gives in to the dark side completely and adds her new found power to her master's. Together they snap the neck of Darth Sidiius, last lord of the Sith.
At that point Ahsoka kneels before Anikan and after a moment he names her Darth Protectus. Ahsoka gives him a quirky grin and says, that's not a Sith name. Anikan agrees and says they're not sith. They're not jedi. Both groups were foolish. The jedi feared hate and anger. The Sith feared love. They embrace it all. He then ordered Ahsoka to ignite her sabers. She did so and none were surprised to see her blades were a very pale crimson, just like her masters.
After that it only remained to finish part four of his plan. With him and Ahsoka now firmly established as the saviors of the galaxy and heros of the rebellion they quickly win the galactic Civil War against the empire. I could see Thrawn switching sides in an instant.
But instead of reforming the Republic at once, Ahsoka and Anikan convince the alliance that it would be better to appoint a figurehead emperor to transition while they purify the senate of its corruption. And who better for the role than Padme, former senator, passionate defender of freedom and wife of galactic hero, Anikan Skywalker.
So our story ends with Anikan practicing lightsaber drills with his children as Ahsoka trains with Ezra and Padme watches from her office balcony smiling, enjoying a break from being Empress of the reformed Galactic Empire.
With all of the scheming, manipulating, waiting and killing done Anikan had only one regret. He misses the deep red crimson glow his light Saber used to have. But Anikan smiled as he avoided the fluid attacks from his children. After all it was a small price to pay for the love of his wife, the loyalty of his padawan, the safety of his children..., and control of the entire galaxy.
Hope you enjoyed my take on a part two.

Hey man just want to let you know that your doing a good job with these what ifs. I have been watching all of them and you're writing is already starting to get better. I personally think that you have the potential to be as good at telling as good stories as star wars Penty Patrol.

After rewatching the actual prequel series and a variety of what ifs, something occurred to me.

Given Anakin's nature of being more feeling and rebellious, both positive and negative - why is it when he goes bad, he goes all in? I can understand from one perspective that it's the nature of the dark side, but this is Anakin. He is not one to conform.

I would really like to see a storyline where while he does go to the dark side, it's not all in. As an example: we know that he holds no love of slavery. So why then would he go along with Order 66, especially when he realizes what it does to the clones? If anything, it should piss him off and make him want to act on this.

Or, given his final views on the Jedi right before he turns - he realizes that Sidious is doing the same thing to him? Instead of stopping Windu or saving Palpatine, he simply turns around and leaves? He's embraced his feelings, he's mad as hell, he's sick of the manipulations of both the Jedi and the Sith. What does he do afterwards? Go on a rampage, start his own order, destroy temples, kidnap younglings? Maybe all of the above.

Given that he knows his wife is pregnant, you'd think he would be extremely conflicted with the thought of killing younglings...Jedi or not. Especially if he still loves his wife.

Given everything I've read, watched and thought over, I think it'd be interesting to see dark-grey or light-grey perspectives. Just a thought.

I think it'd be interesting to see Anakin ultimately become a major thorn in both the Sith and the Jedi's eyes. He doesn't do things the way any "normal" force sensitive/user does things and he won't commit to either side...but he doesn't stick to the middle either.

Perhaps eternal conflict is the balance, hm? Showing the common individual why both sides are wrong....maybe could turn Dooku to his line of thinking for his political savvy. Always good to have friends rather than taking on the system alone. :)

Welp, those are my ideas.

The best thing about the prequels is until Vader burned is for the most part he only told the truth to Anakin.

I would love to see you write a what if on Luke Skywalker, turning to the dark side after he talks to Obi-Wan in return of the Jedi. When Obi-Wan tells him from a certain point of view and have Luke get mad and say that Obi-Wan and Yoda have lied to him and he doesn’t believe the Jedi. Then he turns to the Darkside and kills Yoda and then goes in seeks out Darth Vader to join him so they can destroy Lea the last hope
