If you get your hands on any home appliance's owner's manual from 40 years ago, it has a complete schematic and mechanical drawings, along with parts list, for that appliance. It was the standard practice. You can't tell me, with the technology we have now, that having that type of information available for every device sold, wouldn't be easier to put together and provide, today, then it was 40 years ago.

When you are on a panel with Sandy Monroe, and he offers a compliment like you got, you are in rare atmosphere. Good for Edison Motors!

Sandy: "I am sooo pro right-to-repair"
Also Sandy: "This assembly has too many bolts, it should be two moldings with snap-fit break-off fastening"

Do things not because they are easy, but because you thought they would be easy and are now committed

As a regular watcher of this channel and Two Bit DaVinci, I love that Ricky from Two Bit DaVinci is in on this event because this is fantastic. Heavy Duty Applications can SO easily be improved to increase efficiency as well as work towards less emissions via electrification. Nice!

The host of panel, "we put together a panel full of Industry experts to inform Canadians on a particular subject", Chase and Sandy Talk the entire time. All jokes aside, I love momentum and attention Edison is getting. Congratulations boys!

I love that Chase is in flannel, jeans and work boots on stage with these polished shoe CEO’s 😂

in addition to a list of parts, companies should include instructions on taking them apart. this will help consumers, and I'm hoping that in a few years it'll allow robots to disassemble complex waste for better recycling

How difficult is it to electrify mining? Good lord this guy has been under a rock. Rope shovels and some of the hydraulic shovels have had the electric option for damn near a century now. Cat has been producing diesel electric mining equipment for a while now.

Regardless, glad to see Edison at more shows spreading the word about their company.

Here in the states there was a company called Diamond Heayy Haul they built their own trailers . I personally have unloaded some of them .They built 22 axle two lane trailer with a automatic powered cat driving the rear. Perfect place for diesel electric . So why not do it to both ends. Hats off t Edison Motors . You guys are on the right track in my mind!!!

It's great that you guys are releasing so much social media content lately! But hopefully you guys are still full throttle on development. I'm waiting for you folks to release a medium duty chassis hybrid kit so I can convert a school bus!

The issue with batteries in the trailer is that the extra range that you are adding is directly impacting the amount of cargo you are able to haul. What isn't widely known by the public is that there are caps on how much a truck can haul and one of the biggest balancing acts there is for electrifying cargo hauling, is balancing the weight of the batteries, with the weight capacities allowed to be hauled. You can keep adding batteries for longer ranges, but at a certain point, each pound of battery that you add, you gotta reduce your hauling capacity by a pound. So, in other words, running outta battery room on the tractor hasn't yet been a problem, in that adding batteries to the trailer has become a necessity.

Use biodiesel from wood waste through pyrolysis, and you can have a 100% timber-driven timber transport chain.

I am sure Sandy would love for Edison to hire him to consult.

I find it funny that the second guy that spoke wanted to get large mining vehicles and equipment converted to electric but not only did he fail to name the equipment (haul truck, excavator?) he couldn't even describe it "the big uh huge uh about the size of here to that pillar scoop bucket thing."

Prime example of people that don't have a fucking clue what your job is, trying to convince you that they can somehow tell you how to do it better.

That shit grinds my gears.

While my car is not a hybrid, it did in fact come equipped with a fully functioning Frunk in 1991. Long live the Frunk! Long live the 911…and the 964.
