I had the Nexus 7 LTE model within the first week of it's release. Great tablet for a little over a year. They had faulty memory chips and mine started doing lots of weird stuff. It finally became unusable. I pre-ordered a Nexus 9. Loved that tablet until Google sent an update that bricked it. I was able to root it and install a android mod and continued to use it for some time.

Still using TWO today! One I use mostly for reading eBooks and casual surfing/email etc. and the other as a streaming device with a VPN and a WiFi remote control for one of my TV's and a MAG IPTV box. Both rooted and using Lineage and more than adequate for those purposes. I do NOT do games! Only problem of note has been the rather fragile mini USB sockets which I've had to replace on both but solved that issue by switching to magnetic cables where the actual micro USB plug permanently resides in the socket. I see no reason not to be still using them for another 7 or 8 years - if I live that long! Both still on original batteries BTW and using AIDA64 one showing 89% capacity and the other 62%.

I have one, but it has the touchscreen issue. Google and ASUS did not fix it or collect it. I took it to ASUS for repair, did not work.
Really bad experience.

My Nexus 7 2013 is still useable in 2022.
Lineage OS 18.1 (Android 11) installed and lowered the resolution 800x1280.

How is the pixel experience on the Nexus 2013? I tried to flash it but it seems it was a bit too much work. I think I would have to repartition space to flash it. I tried it but didn't work. I am just using a ASOP with Android 8.1. How was your experience moving from some of the earlier ROMs to Android 10?

Still use mine daily ever since its release. Its rooted with CFW and overlocked and till this day I see no need to get a new one.

There is an huge difference BTW this model and 2012 one. Only one year difference, but the 2gb of ram and the Qualcomm platform (without I/o problems) are responsible for this big difference. I have 2012 model with 7.1.2. It is so so laggy.
