Split drives for the win. And no, I didn't drill in the crack, in front of it. #framing101 #SkilledTrades #framersareadyingbreed #makitatools #diablotoolsambassador

Heck yeah. It may take a little longer, but I’ve always liked attaching bottom plates with tapcons, wedge bolts, titan screws or just any option where you pre-drill into the concrete. It eliminates the concrete splitting/cracking that sometimes happens with using a ram-set. There’s always seems to be pros and cons in every route you can choose lol

Hole seems a lot deeper than the nail. I don't know anything though.

Unrelated ..what brand are those work boots?
Nice tool too.👍

It's certainly more expensive but but I'm a big fan of the speed you get with a powder actuated nailer. Both are perfectly valid options tho

Split drive concrete anchors are the best!!!

Rock of the eighties! We would drill the same size hole. Just pound 3= 16 vinyl sinkers at one time. 🎉🎉🎉 golden ✨️ 💛 👌🏽
Corded part bummer in the summer

Interior non shear walls only.

Some one out there is going to think they are subs/equal to anchor bolts

Where have you been for 5 years.... cordless has been the way to go

If you're going to do that just use a Ramset no cord either. Where I live it's code to do a rod washer and bolt

Is the white and green hammer new to the tool belt?

Hope you enjoy buying bits, drilling thru wood dulls them ten times faster 😮

do you always drill all the way through the concrete and use a 2 inch split drive? seems like a poor method

Crazy how far technology has come for just the wood bottom plate to concrete fasters. It used to be where you needed sledge hammer and one of those concrete nails that are shaped like little 'tees' if you will. Dont recall the technical name.

I never could keep a watch pretty like that one while framing ? Any tips ?

That nail looks way to short. How much is in the concrete? Im sure that's a fail in NZ. Not a builder but in the trades, seen a 1/2in x 3 inch bolt get screwed into concrete before. Think our codes are tougher because of earthquakes.

Must be the Midwest where houses are either blown away or swept away every two years
